How to get from the chemistry entrance (main entrance No I) to the Faculty Council Meeting Room:
You are in the lobby. You can either follow the "COST Meeting" signes or ask the portier to call me (Jenő Kürti: extension 63-24, direct phone number is 372-2754). My room number is 3.79 in the physics part of the building. Here are two pictures from me: staying in front of my room and sitting in my room.

You have a chance to be awaited by my PhD student Viktor, who is the one just looking at the Globe. (Another two pictures from Viktor: one with his sword (don't be afraid!) and one without his sword.

You have to pass the portiers cabin on its left side and go over to the physics part of the building.

At the end of the corridor turn left then go through the glass doors.

It is better not to take the first elevators, but go further until the Danube side of the building.

Take one of the Danube side elevators at the main entrance No III.

Go to the 7th floor.

After getting out of the elevator turn right and go through the corridor which is parallel with the Danube (ahead in this picture). At the end turn right and you arrive at the Faculty Council Meeting Room - number 7.21. Actually all the numbers between 7.18 and 7.21 belong to this very long room. Their windows are aligned at the upper part of the V-shaped light pattern as seen from outside, from south direction.

If you have time it is worth to have a look at the city from different parts of the 7th floor, in different directions:

N view.

North from the Petőfi-bridge/main street are the buildings of the Technical University. Far behind them is the Gellért Hill with the Citadella on top of it.

W-NW view.

The small pedestrian footpath is the walking street, through which you arrive from the tram stop. The round building left is a catholic church. The hill in the middle part far away is a nature conservation area called "Sashegy".

SW view.

The red building belongs to the Technical University.

SE view.

The red building is the south building of our faculty (biology, mathemathics etc). On the other side of the Danube the new National Theatre can be seen.
